Ssassy Property are celebrating after a bountiful summer at its Springfield Meadows site. The development has seen an upswing in sales during the summer, with only eight plots left available at the custom build site. This week, the property development firm announced two further sales.
The construction of the zero carbon homes is well underway. Five houses are now at roof level with other plots starting soon. The site is expected to complete by the end of 2020. The remaining eight plots are able to cater for two to five bed houses and are attracting good interest.
Commenting on their purchase, the Shepherd family, one of Ssassy’s new home buyers said:
“What first attracted us was the fact we could do a custom build which was a dream we’ve always had. The zero carbon footprint was important to us as we have the environment in mind and this is our bit.”
Ssassy have also announced the launch of their new part-exchange service to make it easier for buyers to purchase their future family home without the hassle of a long chain or additional estate agent fees.
Clive Maple, Ssassy Director, had this to say:
“We are delighted with the progress of our sales at Springfield Meadows. Our home buyers are explicitly choosing our development due to the ability to customise their home and for the outstanding green credentials that we have. Helping our buyers to purchase their home is important to us, which is why we are now able to offer a part-exchange option. Each day we are getting more enquiries and we expect there to be more interest as construction progresses.”
Interested home buyers can visit the site at Ssassy’s next open day on 14th September to discuss their requirements. The homes sit in generously sized plots fronting onto a range of beautiful shared spaces, including a wildflower meadow, orchard, and pond, all designed to help create a thriving community and to maximise biodiversity.
The Springfield Meadows project is thought to be the most sustainable residential development in the UK, with its low carbon construction, net zero carbon in use and a strong focus on ecology. The 16 custom build plots will be built alongside nine affordable homes, which will be constructed to the same high standard in conjunction with Sovereign Housing.
All homes at Springfield Meadows will be developed to Passivhaus energy efficiency standards with zero carbon emissions, making them both comfortable and healthy to live in. Ssassy’s chosen construction partner, Greencore, uses high-performance, natural building materials such as timber and hemp, which leave minimal impact on the environment whilst offering lower energy bills, and faster build times.
