What is Springfield Meadows?
Springfield Meadows is an outstanding new development with a focus on high quality design, creating a sense of plan and the highest standards of sustainability. It’s a One Planet Living scheme and is situated on the edge of a beautiful village site in Southmoor, Oxfordshire. This is just seven miles from Abingdon and eleven miles from the centre of Oxford.

How many plots are there?
Twenty-five new homes have been approved for construction on a site of 8 acres so that there is a wonderful sense of space and tranquillity. Houses have generous gardens and there is an acre of public spaces.
How many bedrooms can I have?
The number of bedrooms depends on which design and house you choose. They vary from 3 to 5 bedrooms and some homes offer the opportunity to use the loft space to add further rooms, subject to planning.
What does custom build mean? What can you customise?
Each house comes with a selection of different floor plans for you to choose from. Kitchens and bathrooms can be designed to your specification. In addition there is an extensive range of wall colours, tiles, carpets and flooring for you to choose from. Whatever you choose, we carefully guide you through the process.
What is the Ssassy Standard™?

To reflect this, we have created the Ssassy Standard™ which is well above regulatory requirements and aims to make each home at Springfield Meadows net zero-energy in use i.e. each home will be designed to generate as much energy across the year as it uses. In addition, the construction approach massively reduces the carbon intensity of the construction process, and indeed significant amounts of carbon are locked up in the building through the use of timber, hemp and natural fibre insulation.

What low carbon features do the houses have?
Built by Greencore (www.greencore.co.uk) using the Biond system (www.biond.co.uk), the fabric first approach means the structure is hugely energy efficient, PV panels produce electricity onsite, air source heat pumps use energy from the air to heat your home, triple glazed windows allow light in but avoid heat loss and mechanical ventilation and heat recovery avoids heat being lost through ventilation. The homes are designed to work together as a unified whole to achieve net zero carbon embodied energy and net energy in use.
Is the site well served by public transport?
There is a frequent bus service from the top of the lane (around 150 yards from the development) into the centre of Oxford. Didcot Parkway mainline train station is approximately 12 miles away with plenty of parking available and direct services into London and Reading.
Do I need to sell my current house first? How is this different from a normal house purchase?
There are various options for financing the project, some of our buyers are in the process of selling their house but have cash funds available to start the work, others are using finance companies to cover the costs whilst they sell. We are working with our preferred company Buildstore who are very experienced with financing this kind of project.
Who am I purchasing from?
You will be buying the plot and foundations from Ssassy Property. You will instruct Greencore construction (our preferred builder) for the build. You will sign back-to-back contracts with both companies so providing a seamless process from reservation to finished home.
How long will it be before I move into my new home?
Somewhere between 6 to 12 months from signing the building contract.
How can I reserve?
Once you have chosen your preferred plot, complete a reservation form and pay a £5,000 reservation fee by card or bank transfer.
