On 23rd September, world and business leaders gathered in New York for the UN’s Climate Action Summit where Greta Thunburg’s powerful talk, ‘How dare you’, created a media storm. The Summit caused a knock on effect of 22,470 “actions”, ranging from long-term policy alterations to immediate business changes.
Ssassy has been recognised by Edie magazine’s round up (w/c 30.09.19) of ‘the sustainability success stories of the UN Climate Summit’, as not only part of the change, but industry leaders. Our One Planet Living recognition by Bioregional, as well as our commitment to zero carbon during construction and net zero energy in-use, places us as a green business success story.
Commenting on the recognition, Clive Maple Director of Ssassy Property said,
‘Everyone here at Ssassy is thrilled to have been recognised by Edie as a global green success story. It’s important to shout about our commitment to zero carbon development in hopes of encouraging others to follow in our footsteps. The built environment is responsible for around 40% of the UK’s total carbon footprint. It’s time to cut our emissions completely; at Ssassy, we know how and we are doing it”
