We’re working with Oxford Green Week – here’s why it matters

On Saturday 8th June, we are running a third Open Day at Springfield Meadows in conjunction with Oxford Green Week.

We’re proud to be sustainable developers, taking  our commitment to reducing environmental impact seriously. It’s at the core of everything we do, and it’s why we work with partners, like Greencore, who help us to deliver zero-carbon homes, and Wondrwall, whose smart technology monitors habitation patterns to reduce energy usage.

Oxford Green Week is run by Oxford City Council with partners including Bioregional, who we are working closely with to develop out One Planet Action Plan. The week celebrates sustainable and environmentally-conscious businesses and products with a series of events that put green living at the fore.

Ssassy Director, Clive Maple, said:

“We talk a lot about sustainability in our office, from our materials to our partners, so events like Oxford Green Week provide us with a fantastic opportunity to show how we practise what we preach, particularly with our current custom build housing project in Southmoor, and to immerse ourselves in the wider community of sustainable businesses in Oxfordshire.

“It’s great to see so many people taking an interest in green living, and it’s clear that sustainability is becoming more of a priority as climate protests take place across the country. We’re pleased to be involved in Oxford Green Week and Oxford Big Green Day Out, and hope that as these issues become more apparent, more people will turn to sustainable housing options.”

Springfield Meadows is a fully sustainable development in the heart of Oxfordshire, that offers custom build plots in a community that will be zero carbon, and aims to maximise biodiversity and minimise energy usage. The development includes features such as bird and bee bricks, wildlife corridors, smart sensors, and sustainable materials to ensure that it has minimal impact on the local environment.

Five homes at Springfield Meadows are already gone, and just 11 remain. To attend the Open Day on 15th June and view your future home, book your place today.
